Holiday Drives
Hosting a drive is a great way to rally your friends and family to make sure youth in foster care have everything they need to have a bright winter season. The first step of hosting a winter drive is to get inspired! Take a look at our Winter Drives Toolkit for information on getting your drive started.
Rally Your Network to Support Treehouse
The young people we support consistently need hygiene supplies, clothing and food. Donation drives are one way we help meet their immediate needs. They not only provides much-needed items, but are also one of the best ways to raise awareness of Treehouse, the foster care system and the barriers youth face.
Drives and events hosted on behalf of Treehouse ensure that no one in foster care goes without the essentials, keeping our free store stocked with items that help youth feel confident, empowered and have ownership over what they wear.
Your business, organization, school, church or community group can make a big difference by partnering with us to host a drive and spreading the word.
If you would like more information and updates on ways to engage with Treehouse, email [email protected] . If hosting a drive isn’t for you this year, you can still make a difference by donating or shopping our online wish list .

Event Inspiration
Whether it is the annual office holiday party, your bar mitzvah, a lemonade stand or your family reunion, you can easily add an element of community support to any celebration in your life! Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery throws a giant company picnic at the end of each summer. The highlight of the event is a wine bottle ring toss, where staff line up for hours to participate. Through this simple carnival game, they raise awareness and funds for kids youth in foster care.
Are you a culinary crafter? Jill and Micaela, a mother-daughter team who love to cook, decided to try their hands at raising a little dough to help kids in foster care. They asked their friends and family to submit their favorite recipes, which they compiled into an inspirational cookbook and sold to raise money for Treehouse. It was so much fun that they are working on a second edition!
Think outside the suit! For staff in the Seattle office of Marsh USA, casual Friday is more than a fashion statement – it’s an opportunity to change lives. Marsh employees who choose to wear jeans on Fridays pay five dollars into the Denim Days fund. Each month, a local charity is selected from employee suggestions to receive the fund. Treehouse was the lucky beneficiary of a denim dividend!
Help your little ones learn the gift of giving! For his 8th birthday party, Jackson had all his friends bring gifts for youth in foster care. Then, after the cake was eaten, Jackson and his parents delivered the gifts to Treehouse. Jackson was able to see where his gifts would go and the difference his birthday will make. What a day!
